Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a 2nd Cook to join and to support our remote camp in Menihek, NL. We’re looking for a great teammate who knows their way around the kitchen and is ready and willing to provide support to the entire kitchen staff with food preparation, cooking, and cleaning. The 2nd Cook is responsible for operating various types of kitchen equipment and perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections on equipment and food. 

Rotation: 

• 12-hour shifts  

• Rotation is 14 days on and 14 days off 

• Travel days are not paid

Responsibilities:

• Ensure meals are prepared and severed to the highest standard 

• Support kitchen operations in a professional manner 

• Knowledgeable in safety while operating the required equipment

• Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis 

• Leave your workplace in a clean and tidy manner 

• Other duties as assigned by management from time to time 

Qualifications: 

• Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking 

• The successful candidate must hold a valid food safety certificate 

• 2-3 years’ experience as 2nd cook in the hotel/restaurant industry 

• Ability to prioritize and multitask   

• Professional communication skills, oral, and written 

• Work well under pressure
