The Opportunity

We’re hiring an AI & Automation Delivery Lead to help our Generative AI and Automation Centre of Excellence (COE) deliver high‑impact solutions from idea to scaled adoption. If you enjoy leading cross‑functional teams, bringing structure to complex work, and driving meaningful change, this role offers the chance to influence how technology improves health outcomes for Canadians—while working in a collaborative environment that values balance and growth.

For decades, we’ve invested in our own technology and partnered with governments and businesses to deliver on our purpose as a “Leading Health Solutions Partner.” That innovation depends on strong delivery leadership—people who can turn vision into reality and consistently deliver value.

Your day-to-day

Delivery Leads bridge strategy, technology, and the business—coordinating teams to move AI and automation use cases through discovery, pilot, production, and scaled adoption. In this role, you will:

  • Own end-to-end delivery plans (scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies) for AI/automation initiatives.

  • Align stakeholders on goals, success measures, and capability requirements.

  • Lead cross-functional teams (product, engineering, data, security, privacy, and business) to deliver agreed milestones.

  • Drive change management and adoption planning so solutions deliver measurable business value.

  • Provide clear reporting to leadership, proactively escalating issues and recommending options.

  • Continuously improve delivery practices, templates, and ways of working within the COE.

At the core, we’re a team of passionate technology experts focused exclusively on innovative AI and automation solutions. We enable Medavie to drive progress in health care—always in support of our mission to improve the well‑being of all Canadians.

What you need to succeed

We’re looking for someone who can manage delivery from inception through the full lifecycle—adapting to different levels of maturity while consistently delivering value on schedule and within budget.

  • Proven success delivering projects/programs with varying levels of complexity, funding, and stakeholder impact.

  • Experience leading multiple parallel initiatives that include AI and/or automation, with strong change management and adoption focus.

  • Ability to coordinate internal and external resources across multiple functional areas.

  • Exceptional communication skills and high emotional intelligence; able to adapt style for technical, operational, and executive audiences.

  • Comfortable reporting outcomes, benefits, and risks at multiple leadership levels; able to escalate issues appropriately.

  • 8+ years in digital product delivery and/or progressive project management, including 5+ years partnering directly with senior leaders.

  • Strong industry and business acumen.

  • University degree (or equivalent). Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is an asset.

  • Working knowledge of delivery tools (e.g., Clarity, Jira, Microsoft 365).

  • Familiarity with agentic/automation platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform (including Copilot) and AWS Bedrock.

Security clearance requirement: In support of our contract with the Federal Government, this role requires Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B), including fingerprinting, a criminal record check, and a credit check. You must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizenship status.

What’s in it for you

You’ll help translate AI and automation strategy into execution—delivering initiatives on time and within scope, aligned to business value, and meeting enterprise standards for risk, privacy, security, and Responsible AI.

What makes us a different kind of employer? You’ll have exposure across the organization and the opportunity to collaborate toward shared goals. We offer:

  • A diverse team of colleagues with multiple fields of expertise.

  • A stimulating and flexible working environment.

  • Bonus programs.

  • Employee and employer matching pension program.

  • Comprehensive health and dental plan (100% employer paid), effective on your first day.

  • Strong emphasis on work-life balance, including wellness benefits, health resources, and fitness discounts.

  • An organization that encourages personal learning and growth.

  • Opportunities to support charitable causes and give back to the community.
