The Opportunity

As an entry-level Business Development Manager in Individual Insurance & Investments, you're responsible for supporting sales growth through prospecting and relationship-building with financial advisors and brokers. Activities include inside and/or external sales, collaboration with Business Development Directors, and servicing multi-level marketing MGAs. The role involves making prospecting calls, attending events (including some evenings/weekends), and responding to broker inquiries. Requires strong customer focus, knowledge of individual insurance (investment knowledge an asset), and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth through prospecting calls, meetings, and relationship-building with advisors and brokers.
  • Promote and position individual insurance and investment products; stay informed on market trends.
  • Develop new advisors and support existing ones to increase production.
  • Assist with onboarding, inbound inquiries, and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Represent the company at events, trade shows, and through social media to build brand awareness.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Degree in administration or related field, with strong knowledge of individual life insurance (investment knowledge an asset).
  • 3-5 years of experience in insurance sales and financial services; LLQP or other industry designations are assets.
  • Excellent communication, sales, negotiation, and networking skills; ability to deliver presentations and workshops.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills; proficiency with MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Social media experience and creativity to identify new opportunities for growth.
