Accountabilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of digital services while ensuring alignment with agile methodologies, user-centered design principles, and modern software delivery practices.
- Develop architectural roadmaps, define target-state solutions, and analyze existing systems to support modernization initiatives.
- Conduct technical discovery activities, feasibility assessments, and prototype development to support solution planning and implementation strategies.
- Define and oversee iterative solution architectures while identifying system impacts, integration requirements, risks, and scalability considerations.
- Guide agile product teams through the implementation and continuous delivery of digital platforms and services.
- Design and manage API strategies, system integrations, and interactions between shared digital service components.
- Provide architectural guidance for detailed implementation designs, technical reviews, and code quality improvements.
- Contribute to development activities related to technical tasks, user stories, and platform enhancements when needed.
- Mentor and coach cross-functional teams on agile delivery practices, architecture standards, and modern development methodologies.
- Support the evolution of architecture standards, service delivery frameworks, quality metrics, and best practices.
- Prepare architecture documentation, technical diagrams, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to architecture governance, delivery processes, and platform modernization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading cross-functional agile product teams in complex delivery environments.
- At least 5 years of experience as a software or solution architect designing and delivering digital platforms and services.
- Strong experience applying UX design, service design, and design thinking methodologies within digital transformation projects.
- Proven expertise in defining, documenting, and communicating solution architecture to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and transitioning organizations toward modern digital service ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of secure development practices, cybersecurity considerations, and risk management within software architecture.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing RESTful APIs and enterprise integration strategies.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and modern DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of containerization, orchestration technologies, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
- Experience working with relational and non-relational database technologies.
- Familiarity with public sector digital service frameworks, governance, and delivery standards.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
