Software Sales Director, US & CAN – Portable Metrology

Location: Fully Remote based in United Startes or Canada

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Software Sales Director to lead and expand our sales efforts for Portable Metrology software solutions, empowering manufacturers to adopt measurement software and automation technologies that enhance precision and performance across their operations.

Job Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and scale the sales of portable metrology software solutions, including strategic planning, pipeline development, and account expansion.

  • Partner with the product and technical teams to align offerings with customer needs and evolving market trends.

  • Manage a team of software-focused sales professionals, ensuring quota attainment and performance growth.

  • Identify and pursue strategic customer opportunities within manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, and related industries.

  • Develop key account relationships and strategic partnerships that expand Hexagon’s presence in digital metrology.

  • Forecast sales performance, monitor KPIs, and report results to executive leadership.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, R&D, and service teams to align go-to-market efforts.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, ideally in metrology, manufacturing, or industrial automation.

  • Proven success in managing a sales team and exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue targets.

  • Deep understanding of the portable metrology market, including scanner, arm, and inspection software ecosystems.

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating large enterprise deals and contracts.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, from technical engineers to executive buyers.

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, including internationally.
