Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Develop strong partnerships with people leaders by providing consultative services and coaching on employee relations issues. Recommend solutions and facilitate action plans that align with Access’ business priorities.
Participate in the investigation and resolution of employee concerns in accordance with Access’ employment policies and best practices.
Administer Access’ employment policies and procedures and communicate relevant laws and regulations to people leaders and employees to ensure understanding and compliance.
Support the application of disciplinary policies to ensure fairness and consistency.
Contribute to the design, delivery, and administration of Access’ Performance Management process in Workday; consult and support people leaders in the development and facilitation of Performance Improvement and Performance Coaching Plans.
Coach people leaders on attendance and accommodation; collaborate with members of the People & Culture team in support of disability processes and return to work planning. Actively promote Access’ Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellness initiatives.
Support and contribute to Access’ employee committees in the areas of Health & Wellness, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH).
Coach and support people leaders and employees with occupational health and safety requirements.
Manage sensitive and confidential matters, protecting the security of information, data, and files.
Ensure that all HR programs, policies, and processes are implemented in a manner that supports the organization’s vision, priorities, and values.
Provide coaching and development opportunities, serving as a mentor to members of the People & Culture team.
Participate in or lead departmental projects as required.

Essential Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation considered an asset
3-5 years of experience in human resources as a generalist or in similar capacity
Solid understanding of Employment Legislation and Human Rights Legislation
Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, combined with exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent coaching and consulting abilities, paired with a strong service orientation
Exceptional negotiating skills with a proven record of securing support for ideas and initiatives.
Proficient in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously, while thriving under pressure and tight deadlines.
Strategic thinker with a keen ability to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of diverse solutions and approaches to problems.
Highly adaptable, with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and comfort with ambiguity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Proficient with HRIS technology with an emphasis on Workday
