What We’re Looking For
BreatheSuite is seeking a high performing, passionate and skilled developer to join our growing team. You’ll work independently and with our team on the BreatheSuite platform to create and maintain our applications. You’ll work on a team of passionate developers to deliver high quality features for both providers and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on building applications for Web, Android or iOS platforms that will have a direct impact on our users’ wellbeing
- Work on building our REST API to empower users and our internal team to succeed
- Work with all members of your development team to:
- Help define user scenarios and acceptance criteria on projects
- Estimate project timelines
- Plan out Epic development tasks and stories
- Help manage the release management process
- Work with our product team to understand and design great user experiences
- Play a critical part in our team owned product quality by practicing high code quality standards and following unit and automated test practices
- Work to become a technical leader on the team
Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience as a software application developer
- Experience working in JavaScript based web development frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js)
- Experience using Java and the Spring-Boot framework
- Experience using REST APIs
- Experience with Git or other version control system
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate within the team and with project stakeholders
- Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or other software development post secondary program and/or equivalent on the job experience
- Experience working in start-up environments an asset
- Prior experience in digital health would be an asset but not required. Interest and passion to improve health care outcomes for patients is key
- Experience building great user experiences
- Display a customer focus and strong user empathy
- A highly coachable attitude and mindset
- Experience with AWS would be an asset but not essential
