This role sits within a large-scale service management transformation initiative focused on modernizing and optimizing IT service operations. You will play a key role in implementing and enhancing Hardware Asset Management (HAM) capabilities within a complex ServiceNow ecosystem. Acting as both a functional expert and implementation specialist, you will help design, configure, and improve end-to-end asset lifecycle processes. The position involves close collaboration with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency. You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and scalable solutions that improve visibility, governance, and cost control of IT assets. This is a highly impactful role where strong ServiceNow expertise, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement come together in a transformation-driven environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) solutions across the asset lifecycle.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow workflows, forms, integrations, and reporting to support HAM processes.
  • Support asset discovery, reconciliation, inventory management, compliance tracking, and financial oversight within HAM.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business teams to define requirements, priorities, and solution approaches.
  • Develop documentation, presentations, and business cases to support solution approval and governance processes.
  • Ensure solution quality through testing, validation, and adherence to ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, and ITIL frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and cost reduction within asset management practices.
  • Support project planning, execution, and delivery of HAM-related initiatives, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
  • Provide advisory support to executive and technical stakeholders on HAM strategy and implementation best practices.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and support continuous improvement of ServiceNow HAM functionality.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Hardware Asset Management (HAM), including lifecycle management of IT hardware assets.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM module, including discovery, reconciliation, and reporting capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, and their integration with HAM processes.
  • Proven ability to configure and customize ServiceNow workflows, forms, and system integrations.
  • Experience optimizing asset management processes to improve efficiency, compliance, and cost control.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and IT service management best practices.
  • Experience in data management, including data integrity, modeling, and asset tracking systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret asset data and identify insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience leading or supporting ServiceNow implementation projects in complex environments.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – HAM certification is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (advanced degree is an asset).
