OVERVIEW

Reporting to Team Lead, Producer Relations, the Account Specialist Intern will be part of the National team, acting as business contact between customers (Producers) and Circular Materials, focusing on supporting Producers as they file their extended producer responsibility (EPR)/individual producer reports (IPRs) within specified deadlines.  Over the course of four (4) months, the Intern will be integral in ensuring the smooth communication between Producers stakeholders while acting as an organizational ambassador and facilitating timely and accurate reporting and delivering high-quality service. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist and support existing producers with reporting to ensure they are compliant with their provincial recycling obligations regarding reporting requirements, deadlines, and changes.
  • Build relationships with producers by providing exemplary customer service, managing producer communications via phone email and live chat, and continuously improving the producer experience.
  • Communicate policies, rules, contractual requirements, legislation, and regulations pertaining to the reporting of material tonnages and payment of fees.
  • Ability to review submitted producer reports, analyze; interpret numerical data, and detect anomalies, to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Support with the facilitation of supply reporting to provincial regulatory authorities.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Post-secondary education – currently enrolled in a Business Administration or Customer Service Management program is preferred or equivalent Account management experience.


Experience

  • Minimum two (2) years of progressive customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of CRM, managing customer behaviour and conflicts, building customer relationships.
  • Experience working in a call centre or in a similar office environment would be an asset.


Knowledge/Competencies/Skills

  • Flexible, adapting to new and changing tasks and can multi-task in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfortable learning new online tools.
  • Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills, strong research capabilities.
  • French/English Bilingualism is an asset for this role.
  • Interest in environmental issues and how businesses contribute to good environmental performance.
  • Working knowledge of SAP would be an asset.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • All CM employees work 40 hours per week, remotely from a Canadian home office environment.
  • Staggered shift schedules are required to support Producers in multiple time zones across the country, therefore standard service coverage spans between 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM ET.


PAY TRANSPARENCY 

Expected Compensation: 

  • A salary of $14,700 for the 4-month term.
  • The salary listed complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act and reflects working full-time hours.
