This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Landscape Architecture + Civil Engineering Technology Specialist. In this role, you will be an essential part of a collaborative design team, focusing on the integration of design technologies and innovative processes to enhance site and building designs. Your expertise will bridge landscape architecture and civil engineering, ensuring that advanced technology is effectively utilized during the design process. You will play a key role in developing technology standards and improving communication among interdisciplinary teams, ultimately aiming to create outstanding design outcomes.
Accountabilities
- Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement emerging design technologies for site design.
- Serve as the primary contact for designers encountering issues with design technologies.
- Prioritize and respond to requests related to design technology assistance.
- Contribute to the creation of high-quality CAD and 3D software site models.
- Help develop and communicate interdisciplinary BIM Project Plans.
- Coordinate CAD and BIM based projects effectively.
- Organize and create CAD content and templates.
- Provide education and training on CAD for designers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in a medium to large-sized multidisciplinary firm or related field.
- Strong passion for 2D and 3D design workflows and tools.
- Expert knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil3D relevant to landscape architecture or civil engineering.
- Familiarity with Revit and Rhinoceros software.
- Understanding of design software such as Enscape, AutoTurn, and Navisworks.
- Knowledge of project information management software.
- Awareness of interoperability tools and automation technologies.
- Understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and data management processes.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A strong customer service orientation.
- Willingness to travel on occasion.
