Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Sales Representative, where you'll support revenue growth and contribute to serving science. You'll develop and maintain strategic relationships with customers while promoting our comprehensive portfolio of innovative products and services. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll implement sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and provide excellent support to help customers achieve their goals. This role offers the chance to represent a leader in scientific solutions.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end user within assigned territory
- Independently make decisions, but also utilize available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of supplier and internal resources; Seeks out broader relationships within the account to help facilitate networking and prospecting
- Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory
- Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data into the business plan; Introduce new products and services
- Manage pricing within territory to control profitability
- Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of territory
- Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems, perform other tasks assigned by manager
- Inform customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control consults with customers
- Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific throughout customer locations
Keys to Success:
Education:
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific field (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry life science preferred)
Experience:
- 2+ years of sales experience (preferably in outside sales but open to inside as well)
- Prior experience in a research laboratory or relevant industry experience highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed and manage their own schedule.
- Ability to travel to customer locations (at least 3 days a week) and to the U.S. for training and business meetings as required.
- Proficiency in a CRM environment
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
- Must be proactive, self-sufficient, coachable and have a competitive mindset,
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Computer proficiency in MS Office

Compensation
The salary range estimated for this position based in Canada is $47,800.00–$80,000.00.
