Our Team provides managed services and proactive and reactive support to our global customers. We utilize tools, process and knowledge to integrate and maintain Akamai security, media, and performance solutions for our clients. Become a trusted advisor

As a Security Consultant II, you'll be the security services contact, ensuring the integration and support of customers. Acting as a trusted consultant, you'll learn and implement creative solutions to help customers leverage Akamai's products.

As a Security Consultant II, you will be responsible for:

• Being the central point of contact for customers and leading the integrated account team delivering customer success
• Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to understand customer use cases and tuning solutions to meet client needs
• Participating on internal projects to contribute to best practices, improving our methodology and quality of solution delivery
• Partnering with the business to review and ensure integration efficiency, high quality service and keep customers engaged
• Identifying service enhancements and potential problems to ensure continuous improvements to quality of customer service delivery
• Communicating with internal, external customers and partners to share information and deliverables

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field or its equivalent
• Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role within the information technology industry
• Show understanding of working with network technologies, web security or media related technologies, methodologies and/or architectures
• Demonstrate experience with internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL
• Demonstrate experience in delivering technical projects with an ability to manage multiple priorities
• Have achieved or be interested in obtaining cyber security credentials such as Security+, SSCP, GSEC or others

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from CA$92,900 - CA$167,100/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
