UHN Data & Analytics supports UHN in data-driven decisions, data literacy, performance improvement, data governance, data infrastructure/tools, advanced analytics, and automation.
The Performance Improvement & Excellence (PIE) team works under the direction of the Director and the Chief Data & Analytics Officer to foster a data-driven culture and learning health system. Working closely with clinical and administrative stakeholders, the PIE team helps identify complex issues and implement innovative solutions to improve quality, operational efficiency, and patient safety across various clinical programs.
The Senior Manager, Performance Improvement & Excellence (PIE), role plays a key leadership position in UHN Data & Analytics. Your primary focus is championing the establishment of a data-driven culture and a learning health system. Serving as a data navigator and translator, you integrate insights to provide a holistic view of performance and support informed decision-making. Your role involves working closely with clinical and non-clinical leaders across UHN to identify complex problems and opportunities for improvement in quality, operational efficiency, effectiveness, and safety of care.
This role is dedicated to supporting UHN@Home, a strategic direction that advances best practice models of Integrated Care and elevates the patient experience and quality of services for seniors across UHN. In this pivotal role, you will champion the design and maintenance of dashboards that enable real-time tracking of patient outcomes, costs, and service utilization; develop leadership dashboards to inform program oversight and financial stewardship; and ensure accurate patient data capture to support analytics and decision-making. You will lead outcome analysis to evaluate program effectiveness, oversee Ontario Health reporting and submission requirements, and apply predictive analytics to support care planning and resource forecasting. Through data storytelling and insight generation for Clinical Action Team meetings, you will inform strategic decisions and support the launch and evaluation of new programs with distinct funding and reporting needs. Additionally, you will contribute to research and evaluation initiatives that strengthen evidence-based models of care, ensuring UHN at Home delivers measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
