We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technical Lead for a contract consulting engagement supporting enterprise-scale digital service management initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys shaping solution architecture, guiding development teams, and delivering high-impact ServiceNow implementations that drive measurable business value.
As a Technical Lead, you will play a key role in defining technical standards, ensuring platform reliability, and translating complex business requirements into scalable, well-architected ServiceNow solutions.
What you will be doing:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to ServiceNow development teams, including code reviews, best-practice guidance, and delivery oversight
- Design and architect scalable ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations aligned to business objectives
- Establish and enforce development standards, including configuration, customization, and deployment best practices
- Apply DevOps principles, including CI/CD automation and source control, to improve delivery quality and speed
- Partner closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical designs
- Lead the implementation of complex workflows, custom modules, and integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and JSON/XML
- Drive continuous platform improvement by evaluating new ServiceNow capabilities and optimizing existing solutions
- Ensure platform performance, stability, and security through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting
- Manage technical risks, resolve escalations, and support compliance with enterprise standards
- Document architecture, technical designs, and development processes to support knowledge sharing
- Communicate technical strategy, progress, and value to senior stakeholders and delivery leaders
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator, Application Developer, or Implementation Specialist (advanced certifications are an asset)
- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and configuration experience, including solution architecture and technical leadership
- Demonstrated experience leading development teams and delivering complex ServiceNow initiatives
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and ServiceNow integration technologies (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML)
- Experience implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and source control within ServiceNow environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (ITIL v3 preferred)
- Exposure to other ITSM platforms is considered an asset
