This role is focused on building and managing deep, long-term relationships with high-net-worth self-directed investing clients in a fast-paced financial services environment. You will be responsible for developing and growing a strong personal book of business through proactive outreach, referrals, networking, and lead conversion. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will guide clients through investment products, market conditions, and trading processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. The position requires a strong balance of sales acumen, client relationship expertise, and risk awareness. You will work closely with internal partners and external stakeholders to deliver a seamless client experience. This is a high-impact role where performance is driven by both relationship quality and business growth. Accountabilities:
- Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of more than 200 high-net-worth households, ensuring strong, long-term client relationships.
- Develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, networking events, and lead conversion activities.
- Deliver tailored investment guidance by leveraging strong knowledge of financial markets, products, and trading processes.
- Ensure timely, professional response to client inquiries while maintaining high standards of client service and satisfaction.
- Handle transaction requests accurately while ensuring compliance with regulatory, internal, and risk management standards.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records and ensure all client interactions and documentation are properly tracked.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support client needs and resolve issues efficiently, escalating when necessary.
- Ensure strict adherence to privacy, compliance, and risk policies in all client interactions.
Requirements:
This role requires strong experience in relationship management and sales within financial services, particularly serving high-net-worth clients. The ideal candidate combines technical financial knowledge with strong interpersonal and business development skills.
- 3–4 years of experience in sales, wealth management, or relationship management roles.
- Solid understanding of Canadian and U.S. financial markets, including equities, bonds, and investment products.
- Accreditation in Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing (DFOL) required.
- Strong ability to build, manage, and grow client relationships and deliver personalized financial solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client service skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Digitally savvy with the ability to adapt quickly to new tools and evolving technologies.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and influence stakeholders.
- Multilingual abilities (French, Mandarin, or Cantonese) are considered an asset.
