Role Overview
Redwood Infrastructure is seeking a Technical Coordinator, Electrical for a 12 month contract. plays a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of rooftop and tower-based telecommunications infrastructure projects across Canada. This position focuses on the coordination of electrical work throughout all phases of project execution, ensuring alignment with design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Working closely with internal teams, external consultants, and field contractors, the Technical Coordinator, Electrical helps drive the successful end-to-end delivery of telecom projects, from initial scoping and site acquisition through design, construction, installation, and final completion. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, exposure to telecommunications or related infrastructure environments, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary electrical liaison between Redwood leadership, contractors, consultants, and provincial utility providers.
  • Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
  • Provide feedback on contractor proposals, electrical quotes, and change orders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams including engineering, real estate, project management, finance, and leadership.
  • Manage documentation, create purchase orders, and receive invoices.
  • Track milestones, maintain project schedules, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the coordination of new utility connections, upgrades, and service installations.
  • Review hydro utility layout designs, load calculations, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Develop and execute strategy for small capital projects (e.g., site signage, tower lighting installation).
  • Develop guidelines, technical bulletins, tender specifications and other documents.
  • Resolve operational issues and coordinate upgrades of existing electrical systems.

About You
  • 3+ years of experience as a project coordinator or similar role.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is a strong asset.
  • Electrical training or education. General electrical proficiency and familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code is required.
  • Strong computer skills – proficiency in project management software is a plus.
  • Based in Toronto or open to travel across Canada.
  • Interpersonal characteristics will include creativity, high personal integrity, respectful, creditable, pro-active, accessible, and visible to employees as well as senior management.
  • Excellent communication skills a must.
  • Disciplined in developing effective organizational systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Seeks ways of improving processes, raising standards, reducing errors, and overcoming omissions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, climb, and navigate rooftops and active construction zones.
  • Comfortable wearing PPE (hard hat, boots, harness, etc.) and complying with job site protocols.
  • Capacity to travel to urban and remote project locations across Canada.
  • Able to remain on foot and inspect elevated structures for extended periods.
