Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a driven, curious, and ambitious Technical Sales Representative—someone with a genuine passion for sales, relationship‑building, and learning.

What You’ll Do

As part of the Sales team, you’ll work closely with and under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager, developing your own customer portfolio while gaining hands‑on exposure to technical selling.

You will:

  • Sell and promote Sika’s solutions in concrete repair & protection, flooring systems (epoxy & urethane), masonry mortars, and stucco/EIFS systems
  • Meet with contractors, distributors, and clients to understand project needs and recommend the right technical solutions
  • Provide product demonstrations, technical guidance, and application recommendations to customers and distributors
  • Support the Regional Sales Manager with distributor and client contract reviews
  • Develop new business, grow existing accounts, and increase regional market share
  • Monitor competitor activity and defend Sika’s value proposition in the marketplace
  • Coordinate closely with Customer Service to ensure orders are placed seamlessly
  • Actively contribute to team initiatives while following Sika Canada’s quality, safety, and environmental standards

Territory & Travel

  • Based in Halifax, NS (or St. John’s), supporting Nova Scotia
  • Travel within the Maritimes (NB & PEI) based on business needs
  • Approximately 50% regional travel
  • Occasional travel to Montreal (2–3 times per year) for training or business meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Advance Diploma in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience; technical or construction‑related selling is an asset
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team‑based environment
  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and translate strategy into execution
  • Strong time management and territory planning skills
  • Persuasive, results‑driven, and customer‑focused with a clear passion for sales
  • Comfortable using technology, including MS Office applications and smartphones
  • Professional business appearance in line with Sika’s dress policy
  • Willingness to support career growth, which may involve domestic and/or international mobility

Vehicle/ Driver’s License Requirements:

  • Company vehicle provided.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and comply with Sika Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
  • Technical Sales Representatives has responsibility for prudent care and protection of company assets.
