As a member of the Sales Team, and as a new Zelus Material Handling family member, you will join a diverse, dynamic group of highly motivated individuals that bring with them a wide array of talents, skills, and backgrounds.
The Territory Manager will interact with the customers and suppliers while working closely with the Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Service teams. This role reports to the General Manager.
This role is currently vacant and is being filled due to an existing position becoming available.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Prospect new customers in need of overhead crane design, manufacturing, modernization, inspection, service and/or training.
- Regularly visit and call upon existing customers in order to build and maintain relationships with owners and owner representatives
- Travel to customer sites to discuss new opportunities
- Consultative sales process for technical products and services
- Work within our customer relationship management software to capture account activity and opportunities
- Familiarize yourself with current customers and their needs
- Prepare accurate, competitive and profitable estimation for customers’ new equipment opportunities
- Utilization of Quoting & CRM software for thorough recording of estimates and customer information
- Review tender documents and specifications
- Follow up on outstanding quotes and drive them to close
- Deliver and present proposals for new business opportunities
- Review contracts and purchase orders to confirm they align with Zelus Material Handling Inc.’s quoted scope of work and standard terms and conditions
- Learn and maintain product and industry related knowledge
- Develop and nurture strong working relationships with the Zelus team and our suppliers
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation (OHSA), promote safe working practices including safe equipment operation, hazard reporting, and awareness of rights
- Safety Specific:

- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free of potential hazards
- Practice proper ergonomics to prevent strain injuries
- Report all incidents, accidents, and near misses immediately
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Must be a motivated self-starter; able to work with limited supervision
- Ability to independently organize and set up a productive week of sales activities
- With the assistance of a CRM, be able to maintain and report an organized listing of current opportunities
- A strong base technical knowledge in a related area
- Strong desire for personal improvement and growth
- Minimum 2 years in a business-to-business sales role required
- Strong interpersonal skills; deals with conflict effectively
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong computer skills, Proficient with Microsoft word and excel
- Industrial experience or technical sales experience considered an asset
- Experience with Salesforce considered an asset
