We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President (VP) of Product & Development to lead our strategic direction, vision, and execution of the product roadmap. This dual role will oversee the development and delivery of innovative products, ensuring they meet market demands, drive business growth, and maintain high technical standards.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in managing large software projects and product management. They have a deep understanding of cloud technologies and analytics, with a proven track record of building and releasing software products that drive significant revenue. This individual excels in mentoring and building strong teams and is excited about taking on big challenges. They possess a good understanding of business and finance and are up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies. With the flexibility to work remotely, the ideal candidate is prepared to bring a well-versed industry leader to our team.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Identify market trends and client needs to guide product development.
- Establish and manage the product roadmap by prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and client value.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging professional development and continuous improvement.
- Set clear objectives, key results (OKRs), and performance metrics for your teams.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Product and Technical teams and executive leadership.
- Oversee the development of go-to-market strategies to support product launches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, vendors, clients, and funding opportunities.
Product Development:
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
- Ensure products are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee the deployment and management of systems and processes related to Security, Disaster Recovery, and software service delivery.
Innovation and Growth:
- Identify new opportunities for product innovation and growth.
- Drive continuous improvement in product development processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team and support a product-led growth strategy.
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Experience: Extensive experience in product management, product development, and leading large software projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud technologies, analytics, and software development processes.
- Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills, with the ability to articulate a clear vision and strategy.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Assets:
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in product management, project management, and technical areas, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Project Management Professional (PMP), and cloud technology certifications.
- Good understanding of business and finance.
Location:
- We are committed to finding the best candidate and are flexible regarding location. While Remsoft's headquarters are in Fredericton, New Brunswick, we are open to a range of working arrangements for this role. Candidates can work fully remote, in a hybrid setup, or from our office.
