This executive leadership role sits at the core of a fast-scaling global organization focused on transforming human nutrition through science-driven innovation and advanced manufacturing. As a senior member of the leadership team, you will define and execute the global operations strategy across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering functions. The role requires building scalable production capabilities, including precision fermentation and refining operations, while managing strategic external partnerships. You will play a critical part in ensuring operational excellence, supply continuity, and cost efficiency across a growing international footprint. This is a high-impact position where strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and strong partnership management converge. You will help shape the operational foundation that enables long-term growth, innovation, and global expansion.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will lead the global operations strategy and oversee the execution of manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering functions across an international network.
- Serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to overall business strategy and cross-functional decision-making
- Define and execute global operations strategy aligned with growth, scalability, cost efficiency, and quality objectives
- Lead and manage external manufacturing partnerships, including Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs)
- Negotiate contracts, performance frameworks, and long-term value agreements with strategic partners
- Ensure supply continuity, operational reliability, and quality excellence across global manufacturing networks
- Drive the development and expansion of internal and external manufacturing capabilities, including greenfield and brownfield initiatives
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, resilience, and sustainability
- Lead quality assurance and quality control systems to meet regulatory, customer, and internal standards
- Direct engineering functions supporting capacity expansion, process optimization, and technical innovation
- Build and develop a high-performing global operations organization with strong accountability and measurable outcomes
- Mentor and grow future operational leaders while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Evaluate and support operational aspects of strategic investments, including potential M&A integration activities
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a seasoned operations executive with deep experience leading global manufacturing and supply chain organizations in complex, regulated environments.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, and supply chain roles
- Industry experience in biotech, nutraceuticals, food manufacturing, chemicals, or similar regulated sectors
- Proven success managing complex external manufacturing partnerships and global operational networks
- Experience leading site development projects (greenfield or brownfield) and/or operational integration from M&A activities
- Strong expertise in supply chain strategy, quality systems, and engineering leadership
- Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Strong ability to operate in complex, fast-scaling global environments
- Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities and a results-driven mindset
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at executive and board level
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
