Job Summary:
This is a part-time contract position. The contract will run about one (1) month. We anticipate about twenty (20) hours of total work for the development of a slide deck (reflecting 30 minutes of presentation material) and a related hands-on activity that can be conducted virtually. This is subject to change based on program needs and consultant capacity; these decisions will be made by Correlation One (C1) staff and communicated well in advance
The Curriculum Developer will play a key role in the content development needs of Correlation One’s data-focused programs. This person will be responsible for drafting and writing lessons in the form of contextual business case studies, self-paced labs, and/or homework assignments in order to create engaging and industry-relevant curricula. A successful Curriculum Developer for the Apex America Initiative will have experience in curriculum design (STEM/AI focus), technical writing & editing, AI & machine learning fundamentals, and youth/secondary education pedagogy, and will work closely with Correlation One’s Content Developer to ensure that curriculum remains aligned with the company’s vision and mission. The ideal candidate will be an excellent educator and have experience working with high school learners with varied (including beginner) knowledge and skills.
Program Specific Information:
The Apex America Initiative’s High School AI Championship is America's first AI competition designed to identify and develop the nation’s next generation of artificial intelligence leaders. Open to all U.S. high school students ages 14-18, this groundbreaking competition combines rigorous technical assessment with real-world problem solving, mentorship from industry leaders, and life-changing opportunities.
The Apex America Initiative’s High School AI Championship will include two (2) expert-led AI learning labs where high school students are introduced to foundational AI concepts, tools, and use-cases, as well as coached on specific AI tools and strategies for succeeding in our championship. These learning labs are central to delivering value to participants and ensuring the program’s credibility as a top AI/STEM learning experience for high school students.

AI LEARNING LAB #2
Topic: From Idea to AI: Building Smarter Game Strategies
Date & Time (tentative): Thursday, November 13; 7:30 – 8:30 pm ET
Purpose:
Learn the skills needed to excel in Apex and beyond. Introduces Python, algorithm design, iterative refinement cycles, and how to use GenAI to help you code and strategize.
