Over the next five years (2025-2030), AMACC’s primary goal is to foster a more accessible arts sector, where more Canadians can engage with excellent arts experiences that reflect their cultural needs and advance their quality of life and learning.
Role Description:
The Musicologist-in-Residence is a 2-year part-time contract positio n ideal for musicology doctoral students and recent graduates who have an interest in public musicology. The aim of the role is to broaden the public’s knowledge of the AMP-winning works and the importance of contemporary concert music, as well as act as the in-house expert on current and past AMP laureates. The Musicologist-in-Residence will work internally to document the creation of the new commissions, and work with the AMP team on educational initiatives, events, articles, content and promotional campaigns surrounding the AMP works and laureates.

Description du poste :
Le ou la musicologue en résidence occupera pour deux ans un poste à temps partiel, idéal pour les doctorants en musicologie et les jeunes diplômés qui s'intéressent à la musicologie publique. L'objectif de ce poste est d'élargir les connaissances du public sur les œuvres des lauréats des Prix Azrieli de musique (PAM) et sur l'importance de la musique de concert contemporaine, ainsi que d'interagir, en qualité d'expert interne, avec les lauréats actuels et passés des PAM. Le ou la musicologue en résidence travaillera à l'interne pour documenter la création des nouvelles commandes et collaborera avec l'équipe des PAM sur des initiatives éducatives, des événements, des articles, du contenu et des campagnes promotionnelles autour des œuvres des lauréats des PAM.
