Status: Independent Contractor

Schedule: Flexible (1-4 days per week)

ABOUT THE NEWLY INSTITUTE

The Newly Institute was founded to provide long-lasting change within the mental health industry, our community, and with our clients. We are leading a paradigm shift in the Canadian healthcare system by building a network of purpose-built mental health clinics across Canada. By fusing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual treatment model with medically managed therapies, our intensive outpatient programs provide rapid access, rapid resolution, and rapid return to work and healthy lifestyle programs for anxiety, depression, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, and chronic pain.

 

We have opportunities for Registered Psychologists to join our innovative, purpose-driven, and multi-disciplinary clinical teams in British Columbia.  

 

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

  • Complete Psychological Assessment screens;
  • Perform advanced clinical services; including psychological assessment, diagnosis and/or intervention;
  • Analyze and evaluate patient data and test or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder;
  • Provide such other services as may be reasonably required by the Company, and as mutually agreed upon


WHAT YOU BRING

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health assessment/triage and treatment is required.
  • Experience using evidence-based trauma therapy, specifically EMDR or ART is an asset.
  • Experience with individual, group, and family counselling is an asset.
  • Equivalencies of experience may be considered.

 

Education

  • Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) in Psychology and registration with a Provincial Regulatory Body is required.
  • Professional training certificates in EMDR and/or ART are significant assets.

 

Background Check

Contracts are conditional, subject to clear police background check, inclusive of vulnerable sector check.
