Ciklum is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team full-time in Canada.

About the role:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team, engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on the project focused on building highly available, self-healing stateful infrastructure, ensuring reliable data storage, messaging systems, and automated lifecycle management across cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
Automate the end-to-end lifecycle of StatefulSets including provisioning, seamless volume expansion, graceful termination, and automated re-attachment during node failures
Implement advanced scheduling logic such as Pod Topology Spread Constraints and anti-affinity to ensure high availability and resilience of stateful workloads
Optimize Azure Disk (Premium/Ultra) and Azure NetApp Files integration via CSI drivers to minimize IOPS bottlenecks and latency
Develop and test automated disaster recovery pipelines using snapshot-to-restore approaches to ensure rapid data recovery
Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform, including Disk Encryption Sets, Proximity Placement Groups, and networking components
Build observability solutions including dashboards and alerting for Persistent Volume utilization, disk pressure, and replication lags
Requirements:
Experience automating the lifecycle of StatefulSets including provisioning, scaling, and failure recovery
Strong understanding of high availability concepts and Kubernetes scheduling strategies such as anti-affinity and topology spread constraints
Hands-on experience optimizing storage performance in Azure environments, including Azure Disk and Azure NetApp Files
Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery strategies and automated restore pipelines
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
Experience building monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for stateful systems
