About The Role

As a Senior Professional Services Consultant at Duco, you are an architect of efficiency and part of the engine of our growth.. You will partner with global financial institutions to transform legacy data processes into streamlined, automated workflows. You’ll bridge the gap between complex financial requirements and technical execution, ensuring that Duco becomes a cornerstone of the client’s data strategy. You aren't just following a handbook; you are a consultant in the truest sense—solving today's problems while uncovering tomorrow's opportunities. We prize curiosity, technical grit, and the ability to show clients a better way to work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Delivery: Lead end-to-end implementation, ensuring clients achieve "go-live" milestones and realize immediate ROI.
  • Data Engineering & Design: Analyze complex financial data sets (OTC derivatives, cash equity, FX, etc.) and design optimal reconciliation and data integrity models.
  • Platform Migration: Lead the transition of clients from legacy systems or competitor tools onto the Duco ecosystem.
  • Complex Communication & Translation: You are responsible for taking high-density technical hurdles and "financial jargon" and distilling them into digestible, actionable insights. Whether presenting to a developer or a COO, you must make the complex feel simple.
  • Strategic Expansion (Land & Expand): While embedded with the client, proactively identify "white space" opportunities. You will map out manual, high-risk, or fragmented data processes outside the initial project scope where Duco’s platform could provide value.
  • Commercial Partnership: Collaborate with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to build business cases for these new use cases, turning a single implementation into an enterprise-wide solution.

Experience & Domain Expertise

  • Fintech Fluency: Solid understanding of financial markets, trade lifecycles, or middle/back-office operations.
  • Consultative Mindset: A "hunter" instinct for efficiency. You should be able to spot a manual spreadsheet process from a mile away and articulate why it should be automated.
  • Competitive Knowledge: Hands-on experience with legacy reconciliation or data tools is highly preferred:
    • Reconciliation: SmartStream (TLM), Gresham (Clareti), Broadridge (PROactive), or FIS.
    • Data Automation: Xceptor, Alteryx, or BlackLine.
  • Technical Prowess: Proficiency in data manipulation (SQL, Python, or advanced Excel) and an understanding of API-led architectures. Experience with financial data standards. E.g.: FpML, Swift MT/MX (ISO 15022 and ISO 20022), FIX, FIXML. Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (E.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikSense/QlikView)

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Opportunity Identification: The ability to look beyond the immediate task to see the broader institutional data challenges.
  • Migration Strategy: Understanding the pain points of "on-prem" legacy software and the ability to steer clients toward a cloud-native future.
  • Influencing Skills: The ability to navigate complex client hierarchies to find the right stakeholders for new use cases.
