Project Overview

Digital Health, a service of Shared Health, supports the transformation of healthcare delivery through advanced information and communication technologies. The goal of the Digital Shared Services initiative is to improve healthcare outcomes by enabling efficient information management and technology processes across Manitobas provincial health sector.

Role Overview

Shared Health is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support the design, integration, and implementation of healthcare information systems. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and healthcare providers to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and support system integration and testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze functional and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and documentation reviews.

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, system designs, and integration approaches.

• Design and support system integration and data strategies, including data migration and conversion processes.

• Work with interface development teams to test system integrations and ensure interoperability between healthcare systems.

• Develop test strategies, test plans, and testing coordination activities.

• Lead or support system and integration testing, including validation of EMR integrations and healthcare applications.

• Assist in the implementation of pharmacy information systems in clinical environments.

• Participate in the implementation and integration of healthcare portal solutions supporting primary care clinics and patient enrollment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders.

Mandatory Education Requirement

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Business Computing, or Management Information Systems (Proof of degree required).

Required Experience

Systems Analysis

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Systems Analyst gathering and documenting functional and technical requirements from multiple stakeholders.

Integration & Data Strategy

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing integration architectures and data strategies, including:

  • System integration design

  • Data conversion and migration strategies

  • Infrastructure and integration requirements

• At least one project involving healthcare information system integration.

Integration Testing

• Minimum 5 years of experience testing integrations between systems and providing feedback to development teams.

• Experience testing integrations involving Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and healthcare applications.

Testing Leadership

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test Lead or Test Manager, including:

  • Creating test strategies and test plans

  • Coordinating testing resources

  • Managing testing execution

Healthcare Systems Implementation

• Minimum 4 years of experience implementing pharmacy information systems in clinical settings.

Healthcare Portal Solutions

• Minimum 2 years of experience implementing healthcare portal solutions supporting:

  • Primary care clinics

  • Client/patient enrollment systems

  • Integration with primary care software platforms
